TRAINING AND WORKSHOPS

Workshops for students

The workshops will be conducted in 10h per class/group (250 school classes of 30 people average each) in the form of 5 thematic panels 2h each, with the frequency of 1 meeting per 2months average. The workshops will take place in schools that will request the desire to participate in the project. The students will be provided with training materials.

The workshops will be conducted in a modern and multi-dimensional manner, combining various activating techniques.

The methods used, will be among others, methods as simulation games, games, quizzes, experiences, creation of mental maps, design work.

IMPLEMENTATION DATE: 09.2015-04.2016 – delivery of workshops SUBSTANTIVE SCOPE, among others:
  • what is the ecosystem service
  • the essence of biological diversity
  • the role of the biodiversity in the functioning of coastal ecosystems
  • the natural and anthropogenic variability of the environment of the Baltic Sea
  • the protection of the biodiversity of the fauna and flora
  • the term "green infrastructure"
  • the value of sandy beaches

Trainings for teachers

Free trainings for teachers (primary school, junior high school, high school) with regard to the innovative forms of and methods of teaching on the protection of the biodiversity on various stages education.

The trainings shall be held for 8h per group (Saturday or Sunday).

During the trainings the participants will be provided with lunch and training materials.

The meetings will be as a rule organized in the provincial cities.

Trainings will be conducted in a modern and multi-dimensional manner, combining various activating techniques.

The methods used, will be, among others, methods as creation of mental maps, design work, problematic discussions, case studies.

IMPLEMENTATION DATE: 09.2015 - delivery of trainings

RECIPIENTS:

Trainings are addressed to teachers (25 groups, 10 people average) of science, biology, chemistry, geography subjects and other teachers interested in the improvement of the level of knowledge about biodiversity protection and the skills of their transfer.

SUBSTANTIVE SCOPE:

  • what are the ecosystem services
  • the value of sandy beaches
  • the term "green infrastructure"
  • biological diversity
  • teaching about biodiversity
  • the idea of civil science and its implementation

EEA Grants

The project "Good Climate for the Sea" including funding from the EEA originating in Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway in the amount of 1 266 369 PLN." The goal is to raise public awareness of biodiversity and education in this area in conjunction with climate changes and the economic value of ecosystems.
